New Themed Rooms in Walt Disney World Moderate Resorts?

How cool would it be to take the experience of your favorite ride in the Magic Kingdom and bring it with you to your hotel room? A few rooms in the Caribbean Beach Resort have been transformed into Pirate rooms and have proved to be extremely popular, even though it's $30 more per night than standard rooms. Looking at this picture of one of these rooms, though, I'm rethinking our accomodations for our upcoming September trip!

Now Disney has been giving a survey to some guests asking if they would enjoy other themed rooms like a Royal room and a Haunted Mansion room! Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion are my two favorite rides, and I am definitely a princess at heart, so I'm very excited! Mouse Unlimited (credit to them for the above photo) has more information and pictures of how a Royal and Haunted Mansion room may look if brought to reality. What do you think? If you could suggest another themed room for Disney, what would it be and which resort would you like to see it in?

  2. I would LOVE to stay in a themed room!!! When we stayed at the Grand Californian I was honestly expecting the rooms to be a little more Disney-ish. We had a Bambi shower curtain and some Mickey heads on the carpet but that was it. I totally think this is how Disney hotels should be!

  3. Themed room or not.. if the beds are as uncomfortable as the regular rooms at the Caribbean.. I wouldn't recommend changing your reservations! Just found you thanks to DIB! Feel free to check out my blog :)

  4. I haven't stayed at a moderate yet so thank you for your thoughts on the beds at the Caribbean, DisneyBabies. We're staying at Port Orleans French Quarter in September. We had always stayed at Pop before.
