Staying Cool in the Disney Heat
Welcome to the first stop aboard Magical Blogorail Peach. Enjoy the ride as we share our favorite ways to keep cool at Disney.
It has been very hot and humid here in Florida (when the downpours haven't cooled things down a tad) so it is very appropriate to talk about favorite ways to stay cool while at Disney! One of my favorite stay cool tips is something that we've started doing recently. You can definitely go into a quick service spot and request a cup of water for free. But who wants to wait in line for that? You could go ahead and get a drink from a water fountain, but that's not very tasty. So here's our tip for getting some nice, cool water...
Brita filter water bottles! We got ours at our local Publix.
I love being able to have clean, filtered water whenever we want with the convenience of being able to close it and throw it in a bag like a regular bottle of water. Another tip, try to fill up at a water fountain in the shade (like by the Baby Care Center at the Magic Kingdom). The water won't heat up as bad in the middle of the day so you will have cold water, too!
Thank you for joining me today. Your next stop on the Magical Blogorail Loop is Can Do It Mom AKA Mouse Fan Diane.
Here is the map of our Magical Blogorail should you happen to have to make a stop along the way and want to reboard:
1st Stop ~ Disney in Our Blood (you are here)
2nd Stop ~ Can Do It Mom AKA Mouse Fan Diane
3rd Stop ~ 400 Miles to Disneyland
4th Stop ~ Picturing Disney

Love it, Great tip. I know I agree it has not been cool here at all in Fl and I will definitely be looking into getting one of these ;-)
ReplyDeleteWe used to carry one with us all the time. It finally died and you have reminded me that we need to get a new one. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat tip, Christina!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! We usually stock up on cases of water from a local grocery store, but carrying water a day's worth of water for 5 of us makes for a heavy backpack (which I would know since I am usually the only one her "gets" to be carry it all day!).
