Disney Attraction Turned Resort!

Welcome to those of you joining me from 400 Miles to Disneyland and those of you just hopping aboard.  I am the 4th stop on our Magical Blogorail.

When I saw this month's topic, "if you could have one Disney Parks attraction turned into a resort, what would it be and why," I was really excited.  What a fun topic!  Now, two of my favorite rides have either already been turned into resort rooms (Pirates of the Caribbean at the Caribbean Beach Resort) or rumored (Haunted Mansion, though no word that I've heard has come up about this for awhile). So I had to think about this one a bit.

My family and I have always tried to do little things to help the environment (and animals), but we are currently researching what more we can do.  So since this has been on my mind a lot lately (and Earth Day was just a couple of weeks ago), I thought how cool it would be to have an eco-friendly Disney resort!  Disney already has many ways that they help in keeping the Earth healthy so this would go right along with all that.  This idea would take the philosophies of Animal Kingdom (which is themed around animal conservation, which is something Walt Disney really believed in) and The Land Pavilion at Epcot (which, according to the Walt Disney World website, "celebrates the land we live on.")

I would say that this would be an awesome themed room at Animal Kingdom Lodge using The Lion King as a backdrop because in The Land Pavilion is the Circle of Life film starring Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa that focuses on the impact of our actions on the Earth.  But very soon there will be Lion King family suites in the new Art of Animation resort.  So Disney just keeps stealing all my awesome ideas.  ;)  But it's something that could still be great in the AKL (heck, if they wanted to build a new eco-friendly resort, they could put solar panels on the roof or something, too).  Obviously this isn't perfect, and Disney could make something way beyond anything I could imagine, but here are a few eco-friendly products I found after just a quick search (I didn't really look at price, either.  lol  Just ideas).

Just in case you're curious, these are the places I saw these products.  1. Pottery Barn Headboard  2. Pottery Barn Palm Frond 3. Drop Desk Lamp 4. Acorn Table  5. Crate & Barrel Media Console 6. Reading Chair 7. Crate & Barrel Lounge Chair

I thought that reading chair (#6) would be really cool in an AKL room.  :)  What Disney attraction would you like to see as a resort or resort room?
