Wordless Wednesday

This week's theme is Your November Calendar Shot!  Later this month is Aaron's and my 6th wedding anniversary.  ♥  It falls on Thanksgiving Day this year, actually.  While I don't know if I have even one picture of just the two of us at Disney (it is usually just the three of us so one of us is holding the camera or it's a group Photopass pic), here is a picture of my wonderful husband and our beautiful daughter in Epcot (Morocco).

Wordless Wednesday - Characters Great and Small

This week's theme over at Focused on the Magic is Characters Great and Small. I knew I wanted to feature my favorite little character. She has dressed up as 3 different princesses during our trips, but our favorite character interaction was when she kinda dressed up as Minnie Mouse (and was carrying a princess Minnie). It wasn't a costume, but still a very cute Minnie Mouse dress and matching bow.

{Not So} Wordless Wednesday - First Footings

This week's theme for Wordless Wednesday over at Focused on the Magic is based on the New Year tradition in Scotland called "first footing." I found this over at Wikipedia (because that's the most solid form of information, right?): First footing "involves being the first person to cross the threshold of a friend or neighbor and often involves the giving of symbolic gifts such as salt (less common today), coal, shortbread, whiskey, and black bun (a rich fruit cake) intended to bring different kinds of luck to the householder." Anyway, I really wanted to join in on the theme this week and put a Disney spin on this tradition. I looked at the examples and two of them really stuck out at me because I automatically knew the pictures (or at least a group of pictures to choose from) I would choose. These two pictures represent a lot of firsts.

This one represents my first trip to WDW, Aaron's first trip as an adult, and Ashlyn's first trip to any Disney park.


This one represents my dad's first trip to WDW, first time my dad and Ashlyn met, and our first trip where we went to Epcot and Animal Kingdom.


Wow, I guess that wasn't even close to "wordless." ;)

This week's topic over at Focused on the Magic is "your calendar shot." Well, for the past few years we have been making calendars on Shutterfly. We always pick a family shot for the cover and this year it was from Disney.

This week's theme from Focused on the Magic is Joy. As soon as I saw this, I knew what picture I had to share. My husband took this when we watched the Dream Along with Mickey show for the first time. This is the moment Mickey first stepped out on stage.


I can feel her joy every time I look at this picture. ♥
