Movie Night - Beauty and the Beast

I was a little spoiled yesterday as it was my birthday, and Aaron took all three of us to see Beauty and the Beast in theaters. So I decided to make it into a little mini movie afternoon.

Though there are no pictures, lunch was tea sandwiches (peanut butter & jelly sandwiches and egg salad sandwiches with the crusts cut off and cut into four squares) and petit fours. Just fun, yummy, finger foods that would fit a tea party.

Ashlyn helped me make a cardboard tube Lumiere the night before. It was a bit frustrating to put it together because nothing wanted to stand up straight or anything, but Ashlyn had so much fun painting everything and was excited to see the finished product when she woke up the next day.

I also found some cool princess cut outs (with 4 crayons) at the Dollar Store and we all colored together (I may or may not have gotten a Tiana one, too, for our Princess and the Frog night coming up next month).

Awww, look at those kisses! She is such a Daddy's girl. :)

Like I said, it was a mini movie afternoon since we were doing other things, but if you were going to have a full blown movie night, it would be really fun to make the table up with fancy tableware and red roses. For us, we had Ashlyn's dolls out and the crafts we made.

It is always exciting to take the family to the movie theater as a change. Ashlyn wasn't cooperating with getting a picture taken, but she wore a Belle dress to the theater, too. :) She loved that!

There are only a few more days left in my movie night poll in the sidebar, so please vote for your favorite! So far Mulan is in the lead!
