Movie Night - Spooky Buddies

Hello! Our latest movie night was Spooky Buddies. We rented it from Redbox with a free code. Can't beat that! None of us had seen the movie before so I pretty much just planned a few general Halloween themed things.

I had planned to go to the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins and then do a craft, but after we went to the pumpkin patch, the high school's homecoming parade was about to start so we watched that instead. A lot of the people were handing out candy so I guess you could equate that with Halloween. ;) Either way, it was really fun.

We decorated with our new pumpkins (this shows most of them... a few of them are now on our porch with the hay bale we got, too) and the trick-or-treat bag you get at MNSSHP.

For dinner we had mummy dogs (hot dogs wrapped in biscuit dough and baked - oh, and I just noticed when I uploaded the picture... our plate isn't dirty, you can just kinda see the picture from the cutting board that's underneath the spider plate lol)...

... spook-eroni and cheese...

... and dessert was iced pumpkin cookies.

And just for fun, we ate everything on Halloween plates and had green witch forks.

Honestly, I expected Ashlyn to like the movie (which she definitely did) but Aaron and I enjoyed it a lot more than we expected. Have you seen Spooky Buddies? What did you think?

Our next movie night, right before Halloween, will be Nightmare Before Christmas!

  1. How fun! We rent from Redbox at least once a week, love Redbox! Your movie night turned out really cute. I like the mummy dogs, I'm going to make Dawson one for his Halloween muffin tin. :) He's actually going to have mac & cheese, too, because I found some Halloween shaped mac & cheese at Target last night. I might have to steal your spook-eroni and cheese name.

We haven't seen Spooky Buddies. Dawson still doesn't get in to watching movies. He's over it after the first 15 minutes or so. Seeing all your movie nights makes me want to start having them every now and then again. They are so much fun! Even if Dawson doesn't watch the movie with us he still has fun for the rest of the night.
